BACK PAIN AND AGING
It is well known that everyone develops a degree of arthritis as we age. This arthritis continues to increase as we get older and is a completely natural and normal process.
HOWEVER, DID YOU KNOW that you are most likely to suffer low back pain when you are middle aged? Low back pain is a complex issue that is always due to several factors.
Individuals with significant pain are often found to have minimal arthritic changes and the opposite can also be true with people with no pain having significant arthritic changes.
The correlation between having significant arthritis and back pain is poor. IN OTHER WORDS you cannot simply assume that your back pain is caused by arthritis!
Pain can be due to various factors with most of these factors being changeable! Pain is too complex to simply attribute it to findings on your X-Ray or MRI scan.
