At Watsonia Physiotherapy, we offer strength and resistance exercises in almost every treatment plan to help promote function and decrease pain. We have a range of equipment including dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands, rockbands, barbells and a functional trainer (shown below) to help you achieve your goals. 
 
A functional trainer allows you to perform a range of exercises on a combination of resisted pulleys, Smith Machine, Squat Rack, Lat Pull down and many more. The list is endless, as your physio will be able to guide you in performing over 70 different exercise variations to target your specific needs and get you back to where you need to be. 
 
The functional trainer allows your physio to guide you in performing specific gym-based and resisted exercises that you can mimic in your day-to-day life, in a safe and specific way. These resisted exercises can target every area of the body including shoulders, back, legs, arms, ankles, glutes and chest to alleviate pain and prevent injury.
